I have an advent ade-ad2 keyboard. I now have windows 7 can i use the keyboard or do i need to download drivers?

It is windows based so yes you need a driver.

Try your manufacturers site.
Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AdventSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the drivers.You can also try Driver Guide

I ignored the "doesn't support your OS" and rebooted. I then got the information icons (scroll lock, num lock, caps lock) on the taskbar. I'm happy with that.

Okay, it was as simple; hold the button on the reciever dongle for a couple of seconds, and the the same with the keyboard or mouse.


Why can't they just make the instructions clearer

I've actually just bought a new keyboard and mouse (Today!) because I could not get my advent ade-ad2 to work at all on vista, (Previously had it on my xp).
Thought I'd give it one last try as PC world were no help this morning and previous internet searches were no help either.

Soooo. after the usual on/off...push in little button on underside etc.etc...the only thing that I did different was press the "wake" button on the keyboard.

Bloody hell, it worked!

New keyboard going back tomorrow!

do you have an Infra Red device that is installed on your main PC. Because most laptops have infra Red devices and as well with bluetooth connectivity to function your wireless keyboard and mouse.. Go to my computer icon, right click on it then left click properties then go to device manager then check for additional devices.
