Uninstall MSN and reinstall. Make sure you uninstall it from
start/control panel/add/remove programs ...then go to

http://get.live.com/messenger/overview for windows live or

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=e1fcdfbd-bdb1-44e9-b6ee-bf0ec49f393a&displaylang=en

For msn 7.0

Let me know if that helps...

When I use external storage devices like an sd card or jump drive, i constantly get a message that explorer has stopped working and shuts down. Why?

It could be caused by a corrupt sd card or jump drive due to removing it before the files have been written. If the devices are connected via USB, try a different USB slot. If explorer crashes and you can no longer see your desktop icons, press and hold the windows key and press R and release both. A run command will come up and type explorer.exe and your desktop should come back up.

Then go to My Computer or Computer and right click the device that is causing problems. Go to properties and under the Tools tab click Check Now under Error-checking. Make sure both Automatically fix file systems errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors are checked, then click start. See if this helps your issue.

Hope this helps!

My browser will not connect to the internet

Do you have any other internet enabled applications that are connecting properly? If you do have other internet enabled apps and they too are having problems than I would suggest trouble shooting your network connections.

If you are running Windows XP go "Control Panel" and under "PIck a Category" select "Network and Internet Connections". Next select "Network Connections". Right click your network connection and select "Repair". Windows will attempt to repair your network drivers, settings, and reestablish your network connection. If unsuccessful it will attempt provide an error message describing the problem.

If you don't see that option start checking connections along your network cable wiring. A plug may have come out or a cable damaged.

If it is not your network connection or your wiring it is your browser software. Reset your browser back to default settings to repair any changes made by accident by yourself or perhaps a website attempting a browser hijack:

Reset Internet Explorer to the default settings To reset Internet Explorer to the default settings
  1. Close any Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer windows that are currently open.
  2. Open Internet Explorer.
  3. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
  4. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
  5. Select the Delete personal settings check box if you would like to remove browsing history, search providers, Accelerators, home pages, and InPrivate Filtering data.
  6. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
  7. When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the settings, click Close, and then click OK.
  8. Close Internet Explorer. Your changes will take effect the next time you open Internet Explorer.
Hope this helped.

When i type my password in and press sign in it doesnt sign in and then about 3 seconds after it says msn has stopped working and goes off

You may have to delete cookies on your browser.
Since MSN Explorer piggy backs on IE, you can then delete cookies on IE. Just open both MSN and IE at the same time. Then on IE, click on Tools> Internet Options> Delete Files under Temporary Internet Files. You'll get a prompt to Delete Cookies as well.

Or, if you're login as an administrator on your PC, you can just go to C:\Documents and Settings\User\Cookies, then delete all cookies.

MSN Internet explorer

Are you using MSN explorer with a "paid" account.

When did you start having this problem.

I'm assuming you can connect to the internet all other ways by using either internet explorer or firefox mozilla.

There are a lot of small issues that may be going on. More details are needed so please let me know everything you can, including your Operating System, PC or Notebook..etc
