Question about SanDisk Sansa E280 MP3 Player

My toshiba windows vista cant recognise my SandDisk sansa view

I dont know what to do bcus i have done all i can but it does get recognised, All i see is an MTP device has been installed
and i cant find and MTP device
please help me

If "MTP" equals MP3, then open my computer and look for a new drive letter (in details view, You'll have to rest over the icons or click on them to show all details), if there is one that wasn't there before installing the player, then that is it.

make sure you have the latest windows media player installed.

if its not that issue you can try a system reset by -
Press the Power and Play (>||) button together for 20 seconds to reset the unit!

Not recognising in computers


You need to have Windows Media Player 11 instaled or else it won't recognise it.

Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged.
If any of you have Windows Vista, you have to go to Sandisk's website to get the compatible software.

try using windows media player it does work if you go to the setting file on yor f20 and slect media player in the pc connections folder

PC not recognising hardware


I have had the same probmlem but I've begun to realize that windows vista isn't compatible for the MP3 player when I tried using it with Windows XP -- and it worked fine.

Sansa e130 cant open


On not being able to detect any files when viewing Sansa in windows: try changing the format mode on the Sansa device - on mine I go to Settings and then USB and then changed it to MSC. I was then able to see the files in Windows and delete a bunch of them and then resynch in Windows Media Player.
