Im having problems installing from disk. is there another option wehere i can download the latest version

If you installed the relevant dll from a 3rd party site, uninstall it. The appropriate dll may be included on the installation disk. If it is not, you will want to install the latest version of DirectX. Sometimes, Microsoft does not number such versions. Regardless, if you do not find it on the installation disk, get the latest DirectX version from the Microsoft site. Choose to install it from SAFE MODE. If this does not work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game or program. If that does not work, you might try updating the video card drivers. The freeware program Speccy should identify the video card. Usually, you go to the primary device's (laptop manufacturer's) website for driver, rather than using 3rd party driver installers. Note that the most compatible dll version is likely on the installation disk. Any changes in installation may not be recognized or registered until reboot. You can also try directly extracting the d3dx9_26.dll file individually from the latest DirectX package and installing it into your currently used version via Safe Mode.

I just checked the apple site. To reset an iPod turn the on/off switch on and off and then hold down the menu and center button until you see the apple symbol. According to apple, that should reset it.

Quick fix - press the menu & center button until the screen lights up or an apple logo appears. Then press the pause button until you can see the menu again.

I'm making an assumption that iTunes was working before on the other computer, and now that you have switched computers, the Nano is not being recognized by iTunes?

How to restore iPod
