Hi Yes you CAN use joystick controller for your Toshiba c640 laptop.
It is compatible for your Toshiba c640 laptop. You can connect cord of the joystick controller going to your laptop USB port. And once you have the joystick controller you will also have the instruction along with the joystick controller and its going to be more easier for you to install the joystick controller for you laptop. You can check the price online just type USB joystick controller on the search box of www.google.com or www.bing.com I am pretty sure that you will enjoy playing GTA . Please rate my solution here at fixya. Thank you and good luck : )
Dell usually use different PCI cards in the same computers down load a small program call unidentified device identifyer and see what the sound card is the you can click on driver and it will go to site where driver is downlaoad install and reboot the computer if that does not work Most drivers I get are on the web site
driverguide.com but you need to register and it is free once installed
reboot the computer
This is a rather old question, but the solution might still be helpful to other readers.
I suggest you call Tech Support at Dell...
Several years ago, I worked on many Dell CPx 500 models in my work place. There was an issue that always involved a series of 4 or 5 keys (they were always the same keys) that would quit working and we had attempted to purchase new keyboards to fix the issue. It turned out, the real solution was to replace the 'motherboard' of the Latitude notebook!
Dell had knowledge about the keyboard/motherboard issue that we didn't know.
