Question about EliteGroup A530 Notebook
The problem with my laptop has started just 20 days back, it is like this:
Even a small movement of the laptop while working, makes it hand, and the display of the screen will get blurred and thereby goes blank. You need to switch it off directly from the power button as everything else is hanged. Switching on again will result in blank screen, but system will be show as working. The solution I got by chance was of pressing the keyboard while the laptop is off and then switch it on, by doing this it is getting bootted in the normal manner. Can anybody suggest, what exactly is the problem and how the same can be rectified?
How can i remove the keyboard on an IBM T42

Good day to you!
It sounds very much like the video chip is beginning to separate from the motherboard. This is a somewhat common problem on the T41s & T42s. I've had this happen on a couple of T41s, myself.
A short term fix that can be tried is to remove the keyboard and wedge something between the top of the video chip and the bottom of the cover located to the left of the touchpad assembly. I would suggest something small and nonmetallic. A small piece of pop sickle or craft stick is good as it can easily be carved to shape. If this helps to resolve the problem, you've pretty much verified that you have found the problem.
The real fix is to reflow the solder on the video chip. Because its easier to show someone how to do this, rather than explain the process; I would suggest that you go to YouTube and search on either "heatgun" of "T41". There are several examples of how to do this posted there.
If you still have questions after reviewing those examples, just ask and I will assist as much as I can.
