This is a very risky thing. You should only clear cmos if you can't get into BIOS setup. I can't put all of the instructions in here but I found a good site for you. http://www.pcguide.com/ts/x/comp/mbsys/cmosClearCMOS-c.html

How do I clear the CMOS password on my Satellite

Hi,

To remove the bios (cmos) password, With notebook turned off;

Open Wi-Fi Cover that's located under the laptop and remove the WiFi card, locate & Short Out pin JP1 for 15 Seconds, or short out pin G1 for 15 seconds.

Sometimes you have to short the pins out while turning the laptop on.

The power on (bios) password will now be cleared so you will need to enter the bios to input the date and time.

There is no need to reset the BIOS if the Toshiba boots up normally.
The BIOS/CMOS configures the various devices in the laptop so it function correctly.

Clear cmos

You can reset the BIOS back to the default setting by going into the BIOS configuration and there should be a setting "Load default settings" then save and exit.
The other way to reset the BIOS is to remove the BIOS battery, wait 1/2 hour, insert the battery, then go into the BIOS configuration and set the Date & Time etc.
