MY RCA 25" TV won't power up. Where is the Power

Hello, you can follow the entry of the AC voltage, typically it comes to the power switch. From there to the power supply, where the fuse is located. Please come back to me if you found burnt fuse for further guidance. In any case you must act with caution, when making sure electricity is disconnected. Do you have experience in such Abpoah?

21PT4475 where is the fuse located?

Usually with these types of TVs the fuse is located on a circuit board inside, often right next to where the power cord enters through the plastic case of the tv. If you are not familiar with electronics, I would not recommend replacing the fuse yourself, for safety reasons. See if you can get a professional to do it for you, or at least a friend that is familiar with electronic devices. Good luck! Der Strom

No Power

all sets must have rated fuse for protection. some units now use what is called a PICO-FUSE.this type of fuse is soldered into the pc board. usually marked with location i.d. F301,F901,F400. etc. these fuses look like resistors or in-line coils. check continuity w/ohm meter. if new fuse blows as soon as you plug in tv, suspect bridge diode ciruit or main filter cap(large ripple filter by main fuse. if new fuse blows when you try to turn on, suspect 130v regulator or high voltage short(horizontal-output, flyback transformer) good luck!

You have asked me where the fuse is located
The answer to that is , the fuse is locaed INSIDE THE SET on the chasis.
To find the fuse

1. You will need to look at the back of the television set where the power chord connects to the
chasis, the fuse will be located in that area.

Chasis in this situation means the board wich is located at the bottom of the television
and does not mean the CRT board attached to the picture tube.

Orion 1934 19 " tv

Hello anglersquest,

It is usually located near the power supply section. unplug the TV, open the back of the TV and look for a small glass cylinder with two metallic ends. This will be the fuse, now to check it do a visual inspection and you should see a clear cylinder with no internal dark smuges (good) has smudges (bad). Then if you have an ohmmeter set it to the 1xR setting and measure the fuse ends it should read 0 ohms if the fuse is good and no reading if the fuse is bad.

I hope this helps

Thank you,

Fuse location on tv

a fuse is a small glass tube about 3/4" to 1". it is located near the end of the power cord inside the tv. it is located in the power board supply circuit. there are several reason why fuse blew up. 1. sudden surge current/voltage in your area 2. shorted in either power supply or horizontal deflection circuits. when replacing fuse, be sure to change it with the same value. but if after replacement has been done and the fuse blew again, there is a short in the circuit as stated in reason no. 2. refer to a qualified service technician if you are not inclined with this job. good luck!
