Maybe the place that you are using your internet in doesn't have internet, I mean people near you are using normal connections.

Laptops do not have any wireless oruter capabilities.
This model Dell laptop does have a built-in wireless card.

Dell inspiron b130 wont connect to the internet via wireless connection


Check if WiFi is ON. If ON and still not connecting, power cycle router as well as the laptop. Unplug them from their power sources for atleast 30 secs.Plug power cord again, and try connecting.

Dell Inspiron B130. Need to disable DELL Wirless WLAN Card Utility and use Windows for internet usage. Any thoughts?


open the Dell Wireless utility from the start menu, on the 1st page, uncheck the box That has the Dell utility manage the Wireless
Once that is unchecked, then you can manage the Wireless using the Windows Zero Config

Dell Inspiron B130 will not connect to secure wireless network


Try setting the password at WPA2 (if you can). Mix a word with some numbers for the password. Then power-cycle (unplug for 5-15 min. then plug back in) your router and restart your computer. Now, try to reconnect. If that doesn't work try updating your WLAN driver for your computer.

Inspiron 1300/B130 hard wire or wireless


The B130/1300 had wireless as an option, so it may or may not have a wireless card. It does have a Wired NIC.

If no Wireless NIC, you can get a PCMCIA or USB wireless NIC

Check Device manager to see if the wireless card is Enabled and working. If it has a yellow ? against it then reinstall the wireless PCI LAN driver.

My Dell Inspiron B130 wireless connection


Still using same Router with same WLAN protocol?
Same Network driver?
Never Updated?
Wich standard you use? 802.11 B? G? A? N?
Update Router site and client (PC) sit.
Old protocols and driver are much more densitive to interference.
New router, Microwave, Cordless, Remotes can dramatically modify a previously perfect environment.
