Quoting from page 6 of the manual:

"Select the radio band and tune in a desired radio station you wish to store in the preset memory.
Press and hold, for at least 2 seconds, any one of the preset buttons (1 through 6) that you want to store the station on. The selected station is stored. The display shows the band, preset number and station frequency memorized. A total of 18 stations can be stored in the preset memory (6 stations for each band; FM1, FM2 and AM). If you store a station in a preset memory which already has a station, the current station will be cleared and replaced with the new station."

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to program the presets for radio

hi, it sould be easy, i have never do this one before, but, normally. you need to find SEARCH UP or DOWN.
you may have 6 or 10 preset staions this due to 6 CD or 10 CD

PRESS SEARCH UP find the station you want KEEP PRESSING No 1 POSITION, you should hear a BEEP or the No. 1 station will FLASH, and let GO of the BUTTON, this STATION IS SET.

the next station PRESS SEARCH UP find station KEEP PRESSING No. 2 a beep should be heard or flash station No2 is set and let GO of the BUTTON. this STATION IS SET,

that is the basics and the same for all the stations

I bought a car with a piooneer car stereo and want to program radio stations

Tune to a station you want to program. Hold one of the station preset buttons down for about 3-4 seconds. It should 'beep' and store the station.

Setting radio stations

The solution for setting the radio station on a Pioneer DEH P2000, is to tune the station you want programmed and hold down the desided channel number until the program number appears on the display.

Your radio maybe bad.
Use a boom box radio and connects wires to car speakers and turn on the boom box radio. If you have good sound to the car speaker, than car radio has gone to heaven.

My car radios, M7 and 930 Ruf Slant Nose, have the same problem.
German cars & radios are not built as good as the Japanese cars.
