Question about Philips 60PP9202 60" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Hello, hoping someone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction. I have a Philips 60pp9202/17F rear projection television. I need to replace the coolant in the red tube, but noticed that the plug that holds the coolant in is broken. The 'plug' I am referring to is a black plug that goes into the side of the housing. On another forum someone said "The
newer crt's will not have the white expansion chambers, they have
changed this to be a rubber expansion located under a plastic dome
integrated as part of the crt housing sitting on top you can see a
black dome. on this type there is a black plug."
The black plug he is describing is what I need to replace. Anyone know what the technical name is for this and where I could get a new one?
I have attached a picture. I apologize for the quality, but it was all I could find. You can see the plug I am referring to. Thank you all in advance for the help.
If you have not lost the clear coolant from the CRT, I would use a silicone based sealant to be the "new" plug. Is there a problem with your old coolant that you would like to remedy?...accordianman
