My Dell E176FP 17" LCD monitor keeps cycling colors -red green blue black then colors again... (More) My Dell E176FP 17" LCD monitor keeps cycling colors -red green blue black then colors again during times when my screensaver should be on the screen. No matter what I put into screensaver, this seems to be the way it behaves. Monitor won't power off when I shut my computer down either. Close

Well that could be because the screen is going bad. you might want to get another one or take it in to get it fixed, no more than 100 to fix your screen.

Contact Dell service center for changing settings in monitor, on site. Not a big problem.

See if the set has some sort of reset button. If none do a hard reset on monitor to hopefully clear the cobwebs in monitor electronics and see what happens.

Bluish green screen on dell laptop

It might be that your red pin is bent out of shape. Please make sure ALL pins on BOTH ends are straight, and none are broken or missing. Also, make sure that they are firmly secure.

Problems with Dell E176FP 17" LCD Monitor?

Hi,
Kindly disconnect the monitor from the computer and power it on , if the screen is still blurry on the self test feature check , the monitor is bad.
You can press the menu button on the monitor and select Restore to Factory setting or Factory reset option. If the problem persists you can call LCD repair

Monitor problem

Try unplugging the video cord from the computer.
If it does the same thing then it is not detecting your cord.
If so, try a new cord.

What does it say on the screen if the above does not fix it.
