Question about Avia DVD610 DVD Player

AVIA Speaker System and DVD Player

I have a AVIA speaker system (HD-DHT620) and an AVIA DVD Player (DVD-610). I no longer have the directions for them and was wondering where I could find them? And does anybody know how much a system like this would go for?

I'm not sure how much you could sell it for but If you contact the manufacturer they would most likely send you a copy of the owners manual and if they won't you can usually find a PDF copy of it at the manufacturers website. Hope this helps. =)

My question is. . Is it possible to use a philips HTS3450 surround sound system without the blueray player?

Depends on how you intend to hook it up otherwise you will get no sound from the speakers if you delete the DVD player from the circuit. The speakers require a power source and this is provided via the DVD player.

You cannot connect those speakers up to an amplifier or an AV Receiver because the speaker connections are not compatible. The connections to the speaker wire where they plug into the DVD player would have to be changed because there needs to be a left and right wiring connection for each speaker.

So if I were you I would not mess with the system and just route everything via the DVD as it is designed to be done.

How can I hook up my Bose cinemate on my Philips HD tv when no there is no Audio out and I want to use it for my dvd player, cable box, and video systems?

You don't need to send audio TO a TV. I's a TV, not a source of anything. Many of us use monitors (no TV speakers). The Bose speakers are presumably superior to the TV speakers so whatever the TV is watching (cable/sat/dvd) shuld have its own audio.

Page 11.

If your TV does not have any audio output jacks, you can connect the CineMate™ speaker

system to the audio output jacks of another source, such as a DVD player or cable/satellite

box. However, you will hear sound only from the connected source through your CineMate
speakers.

Our Sony c 770 no longer plays DVDs or Cds but it still works as a receiver. Can we connect a DVD player to it and have it come thru the 5.1 speaker system?

Hi,
Yes, tis unit has 2 video inputs at rear so you can connect any other dvd player sound (analog or digital) to get 5.1 channel surround sound from DAV-C770 speakers.
Click Sony Support to download user manual copy of DAV-C770 that has more details about connection setup.
Hope this info will help you.
Thanks.

I have brought an lg dvd with woofer and 5 speaker in that 2is working 3is not working pl do the needful

Hi! Can you see 6 RCA jacks at the back of your DVD player(2 red, 2 white, 2 black). And if you don't have these six jacks for sound input then you won't be able to use the 5.1 speaker system with your LG dvd player. Check it in your dvd player manual whether it supports 5.1 speaker system.

Connect DVD Player to logitech X 540 Surround System

Bad connection on that one speaker, if you have tested the system with other equipment and it works thn you MUST have a bad connection INSIDE you DVD player. If your DVD had a whole channel out on your output amplifier I beleive then 2 speakers would not work so more than likely you have a bad solder joint inside system for DVD output

Bac speaker bose 321

The arrays from this system are only designed to run with the Bose Acoustimass / subwoofer, which in turn will only work with the Bose DVD player. If you use them directly to an amplifier, they'll sound poor / wierd and you probably blow the drivers. You might even damage your amp.

Each speaker has 2 drivers firing in slightly different directions. The idea is (when its used with the 321 system), the inward speakers give a mix of front and centre, the outer drivers give a mix of front and rear. A normal amp won't do this....

Is it possible to use the speaker system on a different DVD player?

I believe I understand what you're asking here. To the best of my knowledge sony puts a special type of connector on the reciever end of the speaker wire which will probably not be compatible with any other reciever brand. Depending on the age of your system, the speakers may not even be compatible with the new Sony models. Wait...there's good news though. Whatever reciever/DVD player you decide on, there will surely be speaker outputs and if you snip of the Sony connector and strip the wire a bit, you shouldn't have a problem. A couple of other things to consider though... A conventional standalone DVD player may not have outputs for five speakers and a sub. That sounds more like a dedicated reciever. I have a crazy suggestion but you might save yourself some money and trouble. -If you are satisfied with the speaker portion of your current system, buy a cheap DVD player, run the video out to the TV, the audio out to the AUX audio in on your current system and use it for sound only. Hope something in here helps.
