My television is showing a reverse picture. All the words and picture is reversed.

I assumed your TV is CRT type right? so try to open the cover and find the yoke<it is found on tube and have a winding wires.

Then look at the connector of yoke,, you need to place it to other yoke terminal behind.

Screen is dark but the middle looks like a burnt spot. Looks like someone formed dust to look like a small explosion. When power is turned on all that comes on is infrared light. To fix. Power on and...

From your description the picture tube has gone, and usually it will crack where the filaments light up, once air gets in the vacuum seal is compromised causing particles to fly damaging the delicate phosphor where the picture is generated. The replacement of the picture tube will far exceed the cost of a new tv.

The tv turns on but there is no picture. just an audio thump thump. like a drum. any ideas

Look inside front panel. Look under right side picture tube for oil leakage on signal board. If you see a puddle and possibly corrosion, then the tv is toast.

Where are the fuses that are mentioned and what do they look like? I have the back off of mine and it looks exactly like the picture above.

Hello Gary, you can find the fuses on the power supply board which is located inside the TV, they look like medicine capsules made from glass and for contact capped with a sheet of metal. Here is a picture of a SAMPLE LCD power supply board. cyberdyers.jpg

problem is inside tv,,, a component called as picture tube base is got problem ,,pictube base connects the picture tube to the circuit board inside ur aservice men to replace it

The PIP (picture-in-picture) setting can easily be reversed if you look on your tv for the PIP button or for the same button on your remote. If neither of these works then you may want to check your TV's operation manual for the PIP setting .

Picture turns into looking like a reverse negative

Often you will get a bluish or reddish looking picture if your wires from your cable box/satellite or DVD player are inexpensive RCA type video cables. Try using a nice set of component cables or HDMI cable from your sources to your TV. If this is your setup, try this first...its the most inexpensive first option.
