Tv comes on goes off

Hello, I hoping someone can answer a question for me. I have the typical problem with my Philips 37pf7320a that everybody else has. It comes on for a few moments then the screen gets distorted and the tv goes off. I took it to a tv repair shop and they told me that i need a small signal board. I'm having a hard time finding a small signal board for my tv but i found one for a 50" that looks exactly like it, but of course has a different part number (3104 313 60376). Can somebody please tell me if this will work for my tv., i know they put the same boards in some of their tvs and im hoping this is the case here. Does anybody know where i can find parts for these tvs cheap. thanks so much

Hi gt
To answer your question;
We`re getting to see this problem more and more often on philips tv`s, and it usually has to do with software upgrade.
With your tv`s model number you can go on philips website and download the upgrade at the address below:;jsessionid=8888F7981C720E8018961175739D41D6.app106-drp2?groupId=SOUND_AND_VISION_GR_US_CARE&userCountry=us&categoryid=TV_CA_US_CARE&navAction=push&pageFrom=downloads&navCount=1&userLanguage=en
You will need a usb flash drive/memory stick to do this procedure and there is a file on how to do it.
If you have problems with it , let me have your model# and i`ll help you.
Hope this help good luck

Philips 37PF7320A Service Manual

service manuals cost around 14.00 online -- you can download a free owners manual from philips.... the flashing lights are a protection code

one flash / pause / two flashes

this means that there is a problem with the software -- this television was probably made in 2006 and in 2007 - they had to supply customers with an upgrade to the software -- you can download it for free on philips/software/

look in the section - drivers/software---- put it on a thumb drive and install into the USB port on the right side of the television--- the television will come on and scan for the software----

Red light flashing

The TV is in some kind of protection mode, the blinking LED show you an error code.
Try pressing 062596 and then press menu button (do these in quick motion, don't let them to time out while keying)...see what happens
Well I think that if you would have a service manual for this set that would help a lot, I can send it to anyone who wants it via email/gmail. Let me know if anyone want one.

I also heard that this problem appeared with some people because the of the burnt fuse in the TV. To fix that it has to be taken to the tech shop. mecry.gif

And yes I also heard about this issue many times, seems like this TV set is very popular with this kind of problem.
