Question about Zenith A25A23W 25" TV

Vertical length I cant see the words or lower portion of pictures at the bottom of the screen, how can i shorten the screen projection so that I can see all of it. Seems that the vertical deflection length is to long. thanks

Hiii....
I think you should check the cap around ic vertical deflection.... and see if there is have adjustment point or not ?! if you not so sure try to replace the caps and the ic too....
I'm not sure because i dont have service/manual for this model......

Words at the bottom of the screen


See if you have a button called ARC on your tv remote.. you will have different modes called Wide, Zoom, normal etc., Just put it in normal mode!

hi,
ur tv has problem with vertical scanning section. may be dry soldering or vertical output ic faulty.
check for any dry soldering in that section. mainly the soldering of vertical ic. if see or not re-solder the leads of the vertical ic . then check is the tv is ok or not. if complaint remains replace the vertical scanning out pout ic. it will be fitted on a aluminum heat sink in the vertical section. u can see the heat sink on which the ic is mounted in the picture ( in side the small green circle). if u need more assistance feel free to contact through fixya.

Philips tv 20pt1782 want service manual


hi! this is shiharan.i am repairing a philips20PT,crt type tv.the problem is that only the lower half(vertical) portion of the picture tube lights up to display pictures.after taking off the back cover i am not been able to locate the horizontal,vertical driver IC.Perhaps the driver section is built arround FET.Please help me.. hi! you might have bad caps or the vertical output integrated circuit, try to locate the vertical ic and check the surrounding areas for bad capacitors.

Try downloading the service manual and go through the calibration excercise. There's also some additional controls behind the right front speaker.
