Have the lid lock adjusted and always check that the bowl load is balanced. What you have is the machine is reading the lid as open and the spin will not occur until the lid lock reads closed.

Hi, my simpson eziset 550 washing machine wont start, I press power on then the start button and beeping alarm starts with the three water temp lights flashng, this has happened intermitantly in the past...

5 beeps with the 3 temp lights flashing means lids not closed. or lid switch not working

i just fixed this problem. the magnet in the lid had come loose. I undid the two screws on the side of the lid put the magnet back where it should sit then i poured candle wax over it to hold it in place and working fine now.

Simpson Riviera 429 washing machine.

if the water doesnt shut off when you unplug the machine, then the valve is faulty.do you hear a click when you open/close the lid.undo the two screws at the front of the hob under lid and you can lift it high enough to check and ajust it back right side.but they do get rusty.hope this helps.
