Sounds like either a loose connection suspected from the fault worsening when you moved it, or a dry solder joint on one of the pcbs. It could also be a dry capacitor on the power supply board shown by bulging tops on the capacitor. It could be that when mounted on the wall, the tv was located near a source of heat and this heat helped the low value capacitors to warm up and work. Either way it will be one of these 3 possible solutions.

My LG decided not to come on the day i went on holiday, i mean no power no lights nothing, come back try again, nothing so i go and buy a new 38'' LG tv, tried the old one once again, comes on fine put it...

It is not you tv its the plug on theb wall. It is probably loose, and causing the intermittent problem you are having. You may notice looseness as you plug it into the wall. Your TV is fine.

Panasonic th-50pz85u problem

My problem turned out to be silly but simple. I recently took my TV off the wall and mounted it on a stand alone platform. I snaked the power plug through the back tube and left too much tension at the entry point for power. If you leave the slightest tension the female connector will jiggle and it will shut off. It normally takes 3 minutes before you can retry and then the problem persists. Try allowing more slack and/or buying a new power connector to make sure the plug connects correctly. Good Luck!

Won't turn on

If you're using a DVD player or other component using the Component cable hookup, try unplugging that from the mix, unplug the power cord for the TV from the wall and wait 15 seconds and plug it back in, then power the TV back on. Mine used to do this and I gave up on the component cable option and went back to composite (RCA).

Tv wont turn on

I had the same problem and took it apart. Before the repair there was no "click" when I pushed the button, a clue to the problem. The on-off button on the front pushes a weakly made angle piece of plastic inside which had broken. The plastic piece in turn is supposed to push an internal switch which is offset to one side.

I used epoxy (Araldite) to repair the broken plastic angle piece, but it still looks weak to me so I switch the tv off at the wall and leave the on-off button alone (though it does work now).

Opening the case requires some knowledge and care, and can be dangerous. It may void the warranty so be careful or give it to a qualified repair person.

Hope this helps!
