If your printer is pictbridge/bubblejet/or directprint compatible, you should be able to connect it directly. If not, you will have to process it through the computer and print from a photo editing program.

Hope this helps!

Hello Sophia, Did you try a different ink cartridge ? If you did than it sounds like a print head or nozzle problem.

How do I have the date show up on my pictures?

This camera does not allow you to insert the shooting date into the image. However, you can imprint the date while printing using any of several methods.

Set with the camera's Direct Printing Order Format (DPOF) function.

Set [Date] option in the [Print Settings] under the Print menu.

Use the printer's functions.

Use the supplied software.

For further details, see the appropriate manuals. The above was excerpted from the camera's manual, in the Printing subsection of the Getting Started section (page 22 in my copy).

Lauriewheeler@hotmaThe correct date appears on the camera, but does not print on the photos, How do we correct this?

That's up to whatever program you're using to print the photos. Depending on the program (and printer), you can have the date on the image, in the margins, or even on the back. Please refer to the documentation for whatever program you're using. If you still have problems printing the date, please refer to this post specifying the program you're using.

Select picbridge at USB mode setting when printing (fujifilm camera A500)

You only use Pictbridge when printing directly from the camera to the printer. If you activate Pictbridge and connect the camera to the computer, you will get "communication error".
The printer also needs to be Pictbridge compatible.

Pentax k10d won't produce accurate prints. Prints look muddy

Hi It's not likely to be a camera problem, in fact it's highly unlikely.
The big issue with printing colour is (as you've found) matching what you see on your monitor to what comes out on the paper. If you are serious about printing then you need to profile your system. I'm guessing that when you say you calibrated your monitor you just did a simple grey point adjustment to set the gamma. That's all very well but the printer is a completely separate item. It doesn't know that you adjusted the grey point and so it carries on as before (nor is there any way of it knowing). Your printer has to be set up as well - and it has to be set for whatever ink and paper combination you are using - and it will be different for each different type of paper.
If you look in the small ads in the more serious photo mags you should find adverts for companies who will provide you with profiling services.
There is a system called 'Colorsync' which is supposed to automatically do this for you. It works for some but not for others.

Date is not displayed on LCD or on printed photo

Date can only be printed on photo when it will be printed through Picbridge option on digital printer.

When camera hooked with PC via usb, there are options of mass storage and Picbridge and can be selected by pressing menu button.

In Picbridge printing procedure camera hooked directly with digital printer and printer asks for date printing settings.
