You will be able to seeThanks for writing in regard to your concern about unable to see the files you have transfered from your Pc to Cellphone. Transaferred files can be seen usually on your memory card that is underdownloaded/ received files folder. If it doesnt work, you may try downloading Samsung PC suite to transfer these files.
This is how to do it.
1.Download the demo.jar file 2. Open a notepad file and type following:

3.save it as demo.html
4.Copy both demo.jar and demo.html in you mobile.
5.Now run the demo.html file in your mobile. It will open in Browser and click on install demo.jar.
Note: demo.jar is any jar file. The name demo is chosen just as an example.

1. Get all the jar files, mp3, mp4, flash objects etc and store it in a
directory on your laptop/PC which you want to download to your corby pro
2. Make that directory a Virual directory in Personal Web server of IIS
in XP.
3. GO to IIS - Default Web Site - Properties - HTTP headers - MIME File
Types
4. Add the following 2 new file types so that your PC/LAPTOP becomes a
WAP GATEWAY !!!
a. Associated Extension: .jad, Content Type:
text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor
b. Associated Extension: .jar, Content Type: application/java-archive
5. Get the JADMAKER.exe available freely on internet.
6. Use jadmaker to get jad file out of the jar files.
7. put both jad and jar in the same directory which is virtual directory
in personal web server of IIS.
8. Assign IP address 192.168.0.1 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 to your
laptop/pc wifi card
9. Assign IP address 192.168.0.2 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 to your
Corby Pro
10. Point the corby pro browser to 192.168.0.1/corby, where corby is the
virtual directory configured in IIS pointing to actual directory.
11. You will get the list of files on your corby pro browser, select the
jad file of the game/application and see the message you are getting ,
Go Ahead !!!
Now you can download the contents from your laptop or pc exactly in the
same way as if you are downloading it from mobile operators without
paying the network charges.
you need to create an HTML file having a link to your .jar file. Open that html file on your phone' browser. It will ask you to install that application.
i have most simpler solution. 1. in ur PC, open a new notepad file. (anyname.txt) 2. write <html><body><a href="yourApplicationName.jar">install yourApplicationName.jar</a></body></html> 3. save it and close the file. change file extension to .html 4. transfer this file to ur Corby along with the Jar & Jad files of ur application 6. open this file to run the application and click the link displayed 7. enjoy ur application
Jar files are compressd in jar format and are not for a particular machine. You can compress any file to jar format. sis files are for symbian OS. could be Jar or any. Samsung is a java phone. So you need jave files to load on your phone. Go to www.getjar.com, specify your phone and download all files that are displayed as compatible with your phone.
Sorry to tell you but, in your set .sis file cantbe installed. Only .jar(Executable Jar File) can only be installed. Try 2 find .jar files of your kind. For recomended jar files for your mob. mail me @ [email protected]
