I had a problem with my Sony Projection TV recently where it went black. I had a burnt out projection bulb which had to be replaced.

Maybe you can check owners manual , it will tell you how to relace it. Hope it helps you out.

Why won't my screen turn on despite the rest of the TV powering on?

Don't open up the TV. You may regret it. Unplug the set for 5 minutes....not just shut off....uplug the power plug from power source and replug after 5 minutes. It may need resetting.

The power went off and when it came back on the tv wouldnt come on but the timer light is lit

First thing is to unplug the TV for several minutes, replug, Power LED shouls flash for around 90 seconds then go off. Try to power up then.
If the power LED does not stop flashing , or the TV will not turn on still, it will need a repairman.

No Picture, cannot power off without unplugging, flashing green light

The part is Replace an X-tal (Viper) on SSB item 1H00, order code: 242254301397. The small small signal board is the one with the video jack on it. It mat be easyer to replace the SSB but yes it will cost more.
