I had a power failure. When the electric came back on the LED panel just flashes 98/88. I called to get help and was told to unplug the refridge for 15 minutes and then plug it back in. I tried this 3 times and it does not do anything. The same thing happened about 6 months ago and it mysteriously corrected itself in about 2 days. I've waited 5 days this time and it is still flashing.

Your refrigerator is in demo mode. Review your manual on how to remove it.

What makes the problem to set the temperature in the frige

Hello friend, thanks for your inquiry!

Based off what your describing it sounds like an issue within your control panel or thermostat. I would perform a reset on your appliance which you can do by disconnecting power to your refrigerator for roughly ten minutes. If that does not correct the issue please inform me I would like to see what additional information I could provide. -Matt

HI I hope I have reached Sea Breeze because I see someone had the same or similar problem as we are having from our GE GSS25... side by side refrigerator. this person wrote: "Water now comes out but only...

You have a bad main control board . Located behind the refrig , behind an 8 X 10 " panel . Easily replaceable . Sorry , not Seabreeze . You can reach him at seabreeze appliance parts . com , I think .

Samsung RFG 297 series... contro panel reads 88 88

This is technical unit an they can be pretty touchy with power outages sometimes. It may be in a display mode. If you havent already try unplugging the unit for a minute or two and plug it back in. This doesnt reset its programming try holding Energy Saver Key + Lighting Key for 8 seconds and let the unit run thru a self diagnstic test and hopefully it will reset. If neither works its going to have the main board replaced.

Freezer not sending cold air to the Frige area.

The interior light in most refrigerators, and the fan in some, is controlled by a door switch. When the door is closed, the switch is depressed and the interior light goes off and the fan resumes normal operation. If the door is misaligned or the switch malfunctions, the refrigerator may become warm as a result of the non-operation of the evaporator fan and the heat generated by the interior light. Test the switch for continuity using a multimeter. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting X1. Place a probe on each terminal. The multimeter should change from a reading of infinity to zero when the probes touch the terminals. With the probes still touching the terminals depress the switch, the reading should change back to infinity. If it does not pass both of these tests, the switch should be replaced.

((If the switch is ok, and it passes the test, simply replace the fan)).

Refrigerator interior heating upwards of 90 degrees/freezer seems fine

is you freezer freezing if yes is your evaporator motor in the frezeer running.
if yes then it might be you damper assy that is not opening but on GE'S most of the times that run call with that problem the evap motor is not running does your frige have a computer at the back if you do then you have to trouble soot that computer or call a tech or just repl that board and if it doesn't work just return it

GE Ice dispencer not working properly

for a very informative video on trouble shooting your refrigerator http://gei.portals.streamos.com/cc/channel.php?emcid=1416&empid=4533&packageid=0000

I had the problem with no water or ice dispenced and the lights dim when dispencer is used and the refrigerator compresser stops after using the dispencer and had to unplug and reset unit. GE DID NOT WARANTY IT. I bought a new motherboard for about $88 and fixed my problem. As the video shows there can be other problems that will cause some of these symptoms but not all at once. My frige was only 2 years old when this happened.

See if you accidentally unpluged or damaged any wires under the refer during the move. There are connectors that can sometimes easily pull apart if a dolly hits them.
