Question about Logitech Cordless Mouse
I had the same situation. Found this site...
It's a little tricky, but straight forward and easy to follow. The soldering was the most difficult part, but if you practice first it can be done. I found the required "klic-5001" battery on ebay for less than $5. All is now good. :)

Strange, I just left logitech page for MX 1000 Laser Cordless Mouse. All they sell is the AC Adapter. Thought that was odd.
Their not selling replacement batterys, just the AC adapter.
Click this link: http://www.buylogitech.com/store/logius/en_US/DisplayCategoryProductListPage/categoryID.11197300
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page & look to the right there is a toll free No# you can call.
Still find it strange that logitech sells the AC adapter & not the battery. Make you think your battery is good & the adapter is bad.
Good Luck & kind Regards.
