Its a little tricky but can be done. Can you remove the top panel of your washer?? 3 *****s along the back lip and the entire top will slide back and off. theres a little black hose leading from the soap dispensor to the top of the outer tub assy. its only pushed into the tub and is real flexible, pull it out .you see through the maybe 2inch hole and see he inner basket. as you rotate the basket from inside with your hand the inner baffle(s) will line up to the hole and depending on date of manufacture. they might have put a small stainless ***** in from behind to hold baffle in place, ifso remve the ***** and the baffle (although a little tricky should slide toward the rear of machine to remove, and pull toward the front to reinstall heres a replacement number for hte baffle 8182233, incase youbreak it youll need to replace

Drop my marriage ring in to Frigidaire GLGT1031CS

1. Unplug the unit.

2. Tilt the unit up to where the front feet are in the air and the back feet are still on the ground. Please make sure the unit is propped up safely.

3. Now that the unit is propped up look inside on the bottom right hand side there is a black looking accordion thing. This is the coin trap.

4. Clean the drum out with as much water as possible and have towels ready. The next step you will have the remaining water come out.

5. At the top of the coin trap where it is attached to the drum is a silver spring with a silver screw. Loosen the screw and wiggle the coin trap down from the drum.

5. Reach inside the coin trap and clean what is inside of it out.

6. Put the unit back together following the same steps backwards

Oh your bringing me back to the early days of my appliance repair career when i only serviced coin operated washers and dryers. Not in the coin box but the cover on top where you would get access to the timer is a bolt that holds the coin slide to the coin box asm. remove that bolt(if i remeber from 25 years ago its a 5/16th inch hex head and brass colored) and the coin slide will come out and then gotta kinda genlty presuade it in with a hammer so the coin will drop through or pull on the handle ya would push, to free it up and remove stuck coin

I have Whirlpool Duet Dryer that has a noise.

It is common for small items (such as coins) to get stuck inside the dryer drum baffles. You can easily remove them without disassembling the entire dryer. The screws that hold them in place are located on the outside of the dryer drum. In order to access, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the dryer.
2. Remove the top panel of the dryer by removing the three screws located in the back of the dryer holding the panel in place. Once the screws are removed, the top panel slides back, then lifts off.

Each drum baffle has two screws holding it in place. Remove the screws and the baffle will drop into the drum allowing you to easily check inside each one.

Another source of dryer noise is something caught in the blower fan housing. You will need to remove the lower toe panel directly below the dryer door to access. Follow these steps:

1. Open the dryer door and remove the lint screen (the blower fan cover will not come off with the lint screen in place).
2. Locate the screws that hold the toe panel in place along the bottom front edge of the panel. HINT: Propping the front feet of the dryer up can give you better access to reach the screws (a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed the toe panel will drop down, then come off.
3. Remove the screws that hold the blower fan cover in place.

Inspect the blower fan housing for any objects that may be vibrating against the fan blades.

If you still need further assistance, please let me know. I hope you find this helpful.

Coin is stuck

Does it become quiet for awhile after the coin is removed? I can't imagine how a coin lying in the bottom is making any kind of noise. There is no way for a coin to be trapped on the outside of the drum. It might, if it got past the lint filter and worked it's way into the blower housing, make an occasional 'clink'. Does the lint filter have any sizable holes in it? Do what these techs have done and see what you find.

When the drum gros around, it sounds as if a coin

Hi The noise you are hearing is coming from the baffles inside the drum. These are attatched to the drum with screws from the outside of the drum. Something as gotten inside these baffles and causing the moise.
Remove the front ot top panel (Depending on what model) and take the screws out so the baffle releases.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

SOMETHING stuck inside the dryer body - something like a coin... let me knwo

ok here is the best way to describe it you will need to get around the back there are two torks screws remove them and slide the top panel back to you ..OH I FORGOT unplug the machine first !!!....Ok now with the top off you will see the drum.. slowly hand rotate it until you see some screws that are lined up with the baffles inside the drum You will need to remove just a few screws on one side (the baffle that has the coins) dont take them all out or the baffle will fall inside the drum and it will be a pain to get back on9u will need 2 people) and that should do it you will need to rotate the drum around until the correct baffle ...ie ..the one with the coins in on top at the 12 o'clock position.. let me know if this works our for you

Coin in dryer

The coin is probably rattling against the blower fan. First, unplug the dryer or turn off the main breaker. There are live voltages present inside a dryer even with the power shut off. Then, follow these steps: 1. Take out the lint screen. 2. Remove the lower kick panel under the door. There are a couple of screws under the front. The panel should pull straight down then come off. 3. Remove the blower fan housing. There will be 2 to 3 screws holding it in place. NOTE: If you did not take out your lint screen in STEP 1 you will know why I told you to take it out. The blower fan housing won't come off with the lint screen in place. Once you have the panel off you will be able to access the blower fan, and anything else that as gotten trapped inside the housing. This would be a good time to clean as well. Reassembly in the reverse order of what I just explained to you. Good luck and I hope this helps you.
