    My graphics card seems to work fine but it's dual link dvi port does not display (which I use as VGA with a converter that came with the card). HDMI port seems to work fine.

Hello the driver can be downloaded here:

Click to download the Option 1 - Full Software Suite.

You will need to reboot your windows system, when the install is done.

Hi,

Did you install the latest drivers from the AMD (they bought ATI) website?

You can find the latest drivers for Windows XP Home here. After you install the drivers there should be no problem changing your resolution. Regarding the other socket, you must've made it so you extend your desktop onto your "second screen" (ie. the one that connects to the second socket) so you don't see your desktop on that screen but just the extension of your desktop. If you move your mouse all the way to the right you should see it pop up there. You can change it in Display Properties -> Settings -> select screen #2 and deselect the extend desktop onto monitor option.

looks like that your vid.card has a compatibility issue.
but since that you've tested this w/other computers and still the same?but your computer works on other vid.cards?
that means, there's a big chance that your vid.card is already busted.

you may need to change some bios settings i don't know what type of BIos you have but the setting would read something like: initial display on boot...and the options would be onboard or pci make sue its pci

^but befor you try that try booting up your pc with the graphics card plugged in (if you haven't already tried)

Display issue can card's cmos (if any), be reset?

There is no bios on the AGP card. Uninstall the PowerColor driver software including any other software the CD may have installed. Than open this link;
http://www.pctuneuptips.com/recommends/clean/?gclid=CL2RiIrTmpICFSFMGgodODIPzg
Download RegCure & install. Let RegCure clean your system.
Shut down the system & install your AGP x1550 card. Re-install the driver software. Try playing the game with default settings. Your system & AGP card has more than enough power to play the game. If the game messes up or your system freezes send it back to PowerColor. Its not your system it has to be the card.

Cheers

these cards do require that additional power be given to them from the power supply. Have you connected the card to your PC power supply via the 3 pin connector and power connector.

Also uninstall the driver via safe mode and let it redetect in normal mode then install the latest drivers for your card. Download from ati.com
