Most aftermarket car alarm manufacturers have support diagrams on their website to assist in identifying the correct wires to install their device. Be advised, if you are not very skilled at electrical installations (and installing a simple car radio don't count), you may be biting off more than you can chew. There is potential for serious damage and/or injury with the wiring under the dash as much of it runs high current. Short something out or connect to the wrong wire(s) and you might be out of a car. I personally have a fair amount of skill in electronics and wiring systems. I have installed five remote start/alarm systems and never had one that I could say went easy. Either the wires are hard to find/access, or there is virtually no room under the dash for the associated electronics that go with the install. Be prepared for a project that can last days.

SPARK PLUG WIRE REPLACEMENT (ENGINE CONTROLS - 3.1L)

Removal Procedure

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
Notice: Twist the spark plug boot one-half turn in order to release the boot. Pull on the spark plug boot only. Do not pull on the spark plug wire or the wire could be damaged.

2. Remove the spark plug wires 2, 4, and 6 from the engine left side spark plugs.
3. Remove the spark plug wires from the retaining clips.



4. Remove the spark plug wires 1, 3, and 5 from the engine right side spark plugs.
5. Remove the spark plug wires from the retaining clip.



6. Remove the spark plug wires from the ignition coils.
7. Remove the spark plug wires from the engine.
8. If you are replacing the spark plug wires, transfer any of the following components:
• Spark plug wire conduit
• Spark plug wire retaining clips

Installation Procedure

1. Install the spark plug wires to the engine.
2. Install the spark plug wires to the ignition coils.



3. Install the spark plug wires 1, 3, and 5 to the engine right side spark plugs.
4. Install the spark plug wires to the retaining clip.



5. Install the spark plug wires 2, 4, and 6 to the engine left side spark plugs.
6. Install the spark plug wires to the retaining clips.

Take it to someplace that installs these things. Wiring on these things depends on features used so anywhere from 15 to sixty wires on the unit plus you need the wiring diagram for the car so you can find out which wires are where and what connects to what. Average install time home user 72 HOURS. Average install time shop that does this.. 1-2 Hours. Your choice.

There should be a good diagram in the wiring schematics that came with the camera. Follow the installation directions

Yes...just keep the four wires wrapped as two and then hook up as a two wire connection...
The two wires wrapped together just makes it work better if the wires are a bit too light...
The two wires wrapped together will function as one wire...

If you are going to install a new ignition unit, all you basically need to know is which wire is the "HOT" wire. Disconnect all the wires to the coil, turn the ignition switch on and use a test light to find the "power" wire. Once you know which wire this is, you'll need the wiring schematic for the particular type of ignition unit you're installing on your bike. Usually, if you got the website for the manufacturer, they'll have "installation instructions" under their "Technical" section. Usually, with a dual fire ignition system, there are only three wires to hook up. Good Luck!

The first thing is to get a matching vehicle wire harness kit. These kits wire into the back of the deck and then plug into the factory harness. They come in multiple packs matching the make and model of the vehicle. The next thing you will need it a installation bracket kit. If you are wiring in a amplifier you will also need a power wire matching the size of the amplifier, ground wire matching the power wire size and a remote wire. Most reputable audio shops will help with installation questions and kits for a cheap price. If not your local Wal-Mart has all the available kits for home installation.

Place the large positive wire (red) on the battery then all other positive wires on top of the large wire. This way the main power wire has a direct contact to the battery post.

Wal Mart generally has 4g wiring kits for ~$40. Some of the kits contain everything you'll need to install your amp (including RCA cables, fuses and fuse holders).
