Thanks, I will try the thick screen protector. However, it is also due to the buttons pessing up against the purse . I even have it in a separate pocket. Any recommendations to protect the buttons?

    thanks for responding so quickly.

To really fix the problem download S2U2 from pocket pc freeware. It will lock up all buttons and the touch screen untill you slide to unlock like the I-PHONE. this app is awesome and I have used it for 3 months now without any problems or bugs. You can customize it for slide to answer. also you can set it to lock using the power button and when you press your power button it shows the slide screen. Added benifit is 50% more battery life!!!!!! cause screen only turns on with the power button or an incoming call or message.

I recomend either a flip cover(if available) or a thick screen protector that lowers sensitivity.

The case i mentioned, make sure that it covers the buttons (Like the PALM GLOVE for the old ones) so that they dont get pressed in a purse or in a pcket(like me)

We're is the LCD located in my phone

One of the iPhone's greatest features is its highly intuitive touch screen.
Unlike other electronic device touch screens, your iPhone doesn't operate using the blockage of light to decipher which keys and commands you're pressing.
This makes it a viable choice for cell phone users who may not be able to complete other types of commands.
While you cannot alter the sensitivity of your iPhone, you can toggle certain features that make your phone easier to use.
How It Works

The key to understanding the sensitivity level of your iPhone's touch screen is first understanding how the touch screen actually works.
Instead of detecting light blockages or heat to interpret your finger's movements, the iPhone actually has a grid that lies underneath the surface of the touch screen.
When your finger touches the screen, electrical impulses detect the area on the grid that you're touching to interpret the letter, command or motion you're making to issue the correct response.
Screen Sensitivity
While previous models of the iPhone did offer the ability to change the screen sensitivity and the speed by which your phone responds to commands, the iPhones 4 and 4S no longer offer the option.
Instead, the touch sensitivity on newer phones is automatically calibrated for the fastest speeds, which means your phone responds quickly to your touch.
If this frustrates you and results in commands and calls you didn't mean to make, locking the screen by pressing the button on the top right-hand rim of the phone helps stop unwanted commands.
Assistive Touch
Update iPhones running on iOS 5 with an option known as "AssistiveTouch," which allows users who may not have complete control over their bodies and motions to use the iPhone.
This program allows you to change the speed at which the phone responds to your touch.
By tapping the "General" icon, then touching "Accessibility" and "AssistiveTouch," you'll enter the assistive touch menu.
When you turn on the option, an overlay appears on the screen that allows you to give commands by touch, rather than by shaking, swiping or pinching the screen.

When setting up AssistiveTouch, you'll have the opportunity to select your command tracking speed, which deals with how sensitive your iPhone is to your various gestures and custom commands.
Case Issues
Your touch screen isn't the only place where your phone is sensitive to movements.
Your iPhone has a feature called a proximity sensor.
The role of the proximity sensor is to sense the closeness of your face during a phone call. When the phone senses that your face is close to the phone, it locks your screen to prevent you from accidentally activating the touch screen with your cheek or ear.
This is handy, except when the proximity sensor is partially obscured by a case and is no longer sensitive to the position of your face.
The proximity sensor is found on the upper right-hand corner of your screen, so ensure that it remains uncovered to preserve its sensitivity.

My lockscreen is unresponsive and i dont understand whenever i try to unlock the screen it takes like fifty tries before the phone actually dectects my finger its so annoying can you help me?

Once you get it open, go into your settings and double check the sensitivity of the touch screen. This may be turned to far down, and can't detect the touch. Otherwise, if that is good, I would take this back to where you bought it from and get it exchanged for a new one. It helps to pay for the insurance on these newer phones. I have a older HTC Eris, and have had to replace it now 3 times in less than 2yrs because of touch related issues.

My tungsten E2 will not go out of the "tap center of the target" mode. Can this be fixed ? Thanks for the help.

Hello, cleme_z. I would be happy to help! Unfortunately, I too have had this issue with a pda of mine (not the same brand as yours), and the reason why my pda did this (and probably why your tungsten is doing this) is because your touch screen is broken. You screen cannot recognize nor truly feel touches, so your pda is stuck in "tap center of target mode," waiting for a response from your touch screen. The best thing to do is to contact the manufacture and tell theme about this issue. They might even allow you to send them your pda and replace it for free if they discover that you might have a slightly defective screen. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please ask!

There is a ribbon cable between the laptop & the screen. It sounds like you have a short in that cable. If you're not good with tedius electronic repairs, it would be best to have a shop repair it.

There is no need to replace the whloe lcdscreen, you just need to replace the touch screen & panel which is a thin glasstop on the top of the lcdscreen. The whole lcdscreen is expensive, while a touch panel is much cheaper than that. And we could provide all kinds of PDA accessories. Here are some information for you In general, PDA LCD screen comprises the touch screen. LCD screen acts as a display of PDA or SmartPhone, and the likes, which cannot go without LCD screen. Touch screen is short for touch screen digitizer which seizes the upper part of PDA LCD screen. It is pressure-tactile, runs with gentle touch of stylus, finger and other tele-pointing function-possessed device. Different from LCD screen, the touch screen is an optional component for PDA, SmartPhone, and the likes. A PDA can function well even without the assembling of a touch screen for the availability of keyboard.
