Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I am currently having audio difficulties. The volume comes on initially only to cut-off anywhere from 1 minute to an hour later. Other times the audio does not come on at all. No problems with image/picture (Sharp/Aquos LC-32D6U).

is your stereo the OEM (factory original) model? Does the car have a factory-installed anti-theft system? If the answer to both is Yes, you may have a logic conflict since many anti-theft systems go to and through the car's stereo. If you still have the original owner's manual, check the section on anti-theft or security systems. It may list a reset procedure that returns the system to factory defaults. If you have an aftermarket anti-theft system, you may have to disable it until troubleshooting and repair processes have been accomplished. Incidentally, by the car sitting without a battery for five years, all E-prom programming may have been degraded or lost. As for the volume increasing, some GM/Delco radios have a volume compensation feature that increases volume levels as speed increases.

Trying to adjust the preset sunset time on a ET8215C so that I can range beyond the 120 minute limit set at the factory.

ET8215C is Astronomic time piece that can also be programmed for specific on-off time.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Intermatic-et8015c-.pdf
1) You can disable the astronomic function by inserting a jumper shown in manual, and then program individual on-off times.
2) You can extend either DST start-time or end-time by fudging on the current time setting. For example if you want timer to turn off 1 hour after normal sunrise, then set current time 1 hour ahead. Of course this means timer turns on 1 hour later in the evening.
3) You can extend astronomic on-off times slightly by changing astro zone
4) You can set exact astro times, but the default maximum is shown as 120 minutes.

Add a comment and say what you discover to solve the problem.

Audio cuts out

HDMI is not a universal standard. Some units will not talk back and forth correctly and can cause lock ups, loss of audio or loss of picture. Try switching to component inputs and see if it works better. Check your owners manual but I believe the component inputs will also accept 1080P as long as the Panasonic Blu Ray can output 1080P. Don't believe what the Salesman said if he told you that you have to use HDMI or you won't get HD.
