I called 1 800 947 3477 which is Fox International was on hold for 5 min then a nice lady looked it up and said for my model-1186 she could e-mail me one or sell me a hard copy for around $6. 5 min later I have a copy in my inbox

Mine worked for awhile, then started overheating. I (former appliance repairman) found that the fan needed oiled. While I was checking it with the outside covers removed, I saw that two of the connections on the top heating element were arcing and burning! This accounted for a strange smell.
