Question about Brother MFC-9420CN All-In-One Laser Printer

Brother MFC9420CN this printer has starting jamming - i wonder if a) it needs servicing - probably, since its not been done in the 14 months we've had it and b) is it possible for me to do this myself? (are there any instructions i can follow?) thanks guys! x

you probably got alot of jamming on the left side around the fuser. you will need to clear it in service mode. simulation 14. i believe it is c - * - p - * buttons you have to push then enter 14, start key, then follow directions

Cannot Complete the MFL-Pro Suite Install

Hello !!

Thank you for choosing Here's my suggestion:

- Go to the below mentioned link & download the uninstaller for MFC9420CN, Download this utility on your Desktop.

- Now unplug the printer & run this utility to remove the software from the Vista Machine

- Now reboot the machine & configure the computer in clean boot state.
to do that follow these :

To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.
  1. Click Start vistastartbutton.jpg, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

    securityshield.jpg If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.
  2. On the General tab, click Selective Startup.
  3. Under Selective Startup, click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.
  4. Click the Services tab, click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable All.
  5. Click OK.
  6. When you are prompted, click Restart.
Once you have rebooted the machine, Try to install the Software.

Brother mfc 9420 cn keep jamming and also keeps giving a stacker full message, paper keeps jamming over and over again in the back of the printer. we also want to buy into a maintence contract where we...

You need to go to to find your local service provider. They can help you with the jamming problem(which is probably something wrong with the transfer/registration rollers that are on the back door.)

The service company can sell you a contract independently.
