Hi there, thanks to everyone who responded to my problem!
I solved it with a collection of ideas posted, first i was able to actually get the filter out fully, it was being held in place by a hair clip, a little gentle persuasion solved that! secondly the drain hose was partially clogged and the suggestion to snake it out worked a treat. once again thanks to everyone who helped the machine is back in full action!!!

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Rate me pl.....if helped. Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.

Wont drain

If the machine does not drain the parts that can be responsible are the drain system and pressure switch. Motor and control board must also be tested if the first two are Ok. If machine is a top loader testing will start from lid switch. a first action will consist in checking the drain hose at the back and checking the drain filter accessible from lower front side of your Whirlpool.

Here a page about drain and spin problems.

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. Sounds like something is stuck in there like a sock or something. You might have to pull the hose off from the back side of the filter housing to get out what ever is stuck.

I have a whirlpool front loading washer model number ghw933pw4... I have a code of f-6 that flashes and wont drain.... Now it wont get out of wash cycle , and flashes number where its at in cycle... ex- 50

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France @18:00 Sun afternoon/evening.

If, as you say, it 'wont drain' that is sufficient for the machine not to be able to continue operating. You will need to find and check and, if necessary, clean the drain motor lint tray/filter especially if you have had the machine for some time and the filter has not been cleaned. I try to remember, or am reminded by my wife, to check ours about every 3 months

Although I do not know your particular model the filter is normally to be found behind the lower front panel which is held in place by some plastic screws. These are (normally again!) removed by turning through 90 degrees anticlockwise.

The cover/large knob for the filter should then be visible and turned anticlockwise to remove. The filter may or may not come out with the cover. If not gently persuade it out and clean.

It is again normally possible to see and check that the drain motor is free to rotate by hand/finger.
If the filter is perfectly clean when you check it, it COULD be that the drain motor is malfunctioning.
It is possible to check the operation of this motor by re-applying power, switching the machine on BUT EMPTY and immediately on to a spin cycle at which time the motor would, and should, be running.
Hope this all helps!

Hi my washing mashine wont spin, and code 0E comes up on sreen and start button starts flashing PLEASE HELP THANKS

That is actually DE. (Drain Error) Open the small access door at the bottom left corner of the front panel. Use the small hose to drain the remaining water out of machine. Unscrew the big knob and pull it out to clean out filter. (If filter was clear, replace pump motor.)

Whirlpool Duet Sport--won't completely spin out, leaves water in the tub. I cleaned out the drain filter, it kind of works for 1 load then goes back to not spinning out completely.

Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer: front load whirlpool washing machine runs fine unt...

You can try this:

First check your washer plug to see if the connections are tightly screwed. Next check your filter if you haven't for long.

Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you hv drained unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out

How abt a nice rating for the free help? Thnks
