Hp laserjet 4000 printer always saying "off line" and not printing what could be the problem

Please Clarify, does it say offline on the printer itself or on your printer driver. If it says offline on the printer itself, normally pressing the go button should put it online. However, at the age of that printer the buttons could be dirty/worn out, I have had control panels fail quite often as of late. If it is saying offline on the computer driver then that is a whole different set of issues and I would need to know what operating system you are running.

To change print status "offline" to "online

Go to devices and printers to see if your printer is set to default. Make sure the printer cables are plugged in tight. Offline means it is not getting a signal . In Case You Still Having Problem Then Follow Us For On : Brother Printer Support

I have an Canon MX850 printer -- when I try to print anything using the BlueTooth connection, it says the printer is offline. How do I set it "online"? It is plugged in. It is the same as it has always...

Hi Cynthia
Any recent changes like moving cabinets or furniture? It doesn't have to be anything large,a Blue Tooth connection is really short range and it doesn't take much to interrupt the signal.
Take a look around for anything that may be out of place or new.

DOES ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM?HERE IT IS..IT ALWAYS OFFLINE MY PRINTER EVERYTIME i print it,he goes offline and the print is unabale to print can anyone help me?to fix..thank you. im using HP...

when you hook up your printer to your pc via USB...can the computer detect your printer? does it prompt out any msg such as new device is installed and ready to use or did it ask you to install the printer driver?
if your pc can't detect your printer, replace the USB cable and try again.. and try to plug into a different USB port on your pc.. and if all fails, then most probably your printer main board is faulty...

Printer status says offline, and we can not print on laptop

Hi!
If you're offline with the printer, you definitely won't be able to print.

I'm assuming you're using Windows XP here. Most Windows products will be similar...

On the laptop, click on the Start button, then Settings, then Printers and Faxes. Find your printer in the list, right-click on it and click "Use Online" or uncheck the "Offline" box.

Good luck! Remember to rate the solutions!

TOSHIBA DP80F always offline.

Try Unplugging your printer waiting a minute and reconnecting it!
If that doesn't work you may need driver updates!

Driver Update Software Recommended: @

I'd go to the above site and click on DOWNLOAD NOW. This will install a prized program to update and install all your drivers. The program will appear on your desktop as ParetoLogic DriverCure. Run it often to keep all your drivers up to date!
If this doesn't work please get back to me and let me know!
