When you boot the computer, a program starts that reads a value in an .xml file which it expects to be null. However, what it actually reads is not null, and it isn't an object either, so the poor old program trying to read cannot make sense of it and gets confused.

Have you installed anything recently or cleared any log files? This is sometimes associated with Yahoo.

If you go to Start, then Run, then type msconfig then press enter then click the Start Up tab, you will see all the programs that start when you boot. You can uncheck everything, then try rebooting again. The problem should stop, but you will need to recheck each box again until you find the offending program. You should then be able to trace which file it is trying to read.

Getting error message Invalid skin file error line %i in the xmlwhen entering my Karaoke Programme On my Acer Aspire 8.1

This means the .xml was expecting some information when the page is accessed, and either the information given is wrong, like wrong file type, or damaged file, or missing the name or the file. So, if nothing has changed since you last used it; then either a file is missing or corrupt, or you've changed devices, or an upgrade to your current system has killed the app.

What is parsing the package? I cant install mobogenie.

"Parsing the package" means decoding that part of the software installation file. Either it is in a file format your operating system doesn't understand, or the file is corrupted.

In general, parsing means picking apart a piece of verbal or data communication to derive its meaning. Example usage: "Parsing legislation written by lawyers is often difficult."

Failed to load application configuration data from "core.hp.main/application.xml" what does this mean

It is to do with servers. See; http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs61/programming/app_xml.html
Try booting in safe mode and restore your system to a known good date. When successful, you will be able to find out mre about why you have this error. It is probably a registry error.

I dont have wireless network on my Dell inspiron 6400 laptop . Trouble shooting gives this message: driver not installed. Any solution?

Yes--if the computer is telling you that the wireless driver is not installed, the logical thing to do is install it. Go to support.dell.com and enter your service tag to find the driver for your operating system. var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_c2e8482a4d7d4ac6b0bc539f568ce661(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_21a7e17eeb944cf29d4ae628d50dd6e2(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); }

I have a Dell Studio Laptop 17 and it will not eject the CD. It tries to and it also sounds like it is trying to read it (which it isn't). What can I do?

Sounds like the CD may be going bad. You can eject the CD by pushing a paper clip in the little hole near the tray. Do that and clean it out with compressed air.
If it keeps acting that way, replace the drive.

You need to check the setup of your mail account in Outlook Express. The most likely problem is that your server is a POP server, not a IPAM. var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_0471ebc3ace64d17bcd287c3b687bda5(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_3d5de3a63a7247db98aaf3bd066ea694(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); }

My acer aspire 3000 starts up but when it gets to windows xp loading screen it loads then black screen then restarts it's self and keeps doing that??? Any help ?!?

Try this first:

If this doesn't work, try this:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r4501848-when_windows_xp_start_secondary_fix

Your problem is some corrupted system files. One of these two tips should help.

M$ Internet Exploder 7 shuts down: Assert in LSP error popup

Your google desktop add-on is causing the problem. Try to start IE7 without add-ons. Right Click your IE7 Icon and start without add-ons, or go:

Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons)

Or type in this command at Start > Run

iexplore.exe -extoff

This will start IE7 without all the toolbars or add-ons that you can download or add to your Internet Explorer.

Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and uninstall the Google Toolbars/Desktop programs then try to start IE7 normally again.
