Question about Two-Way Radios
We have been looking for a users manual for a motorola t73xta7ta7bk, so that we can learn how to set the squelch. Can you help find a manual for this raido? or help with learning how to set the squelch? thank you, Carrie
That is a Maratrac, the squelch is adjustable thru a variable resistor on the audio/squelch board within the chassis. It is labeled R1132 SQUELCH, and is located very close to the locking handle. Some models have a metal bracket that holds the interface board, (thats the only board in the chassis that is mounted vertically), if you remove this bracket you can see R1132 alot easier, but do not need to remove the bracket to adjust R1132. Clockwise tightens the squelch. One catch though, for this adjustment to work, the radio must have been programmed with the unmuting/muting setting in the RSS, set to And/Or. It comes from the factory set for Std/Std. And in my 15+ years in the business, I have seen only one programmer that changes this setting. Me. Good Luck.
