Find someone in electronics to re-solder all connections inside the phone. Most likely your low audio power is related to a bad solder joint or other manufacturing error.

Our new 6.0 Caller ID phones have an echo. Can you suggest a remedy? John Chalk johnchalk@hotmail.com

as per jonniewalker from one of his posts:

"it may be due to interference from electronics devices around you since its a cordless phone ,or your phone is not getting a complete connection, could be one cause,Please try these solutions when you experience echo sound :

- turn the volume down

- turn the "clarity booster" function on the phone

Follow these steps to turn on clarity booster

1) Press menu/del during talk time (while phone is in use).

2) Press ^/vol or vol/v to move the pointer to Clarity Boost, and then select Boost On and "B" appears on the display. To turn Off the Clarity Booster, repeat above step again. check the owners manual for a full description for your model of phone
*Please note: clarity booster turns off automatically at the end of each call.

- make sure the Echo Canceller Circuit (ECC) has been set properly

*The phone should have Echo Canceller Circuit (ECC) built in.

*This means the circuit will study the Voice Level & reduce/cut the echo automatically.

Follow these steps to set the ECC properly

1. Unplug the battery from the handset for a few seconds.

2. Re-plug the battery back into the handset.

3. Make a phone call & at the initial stage speak loudly into the mic. Please note: The ECC will learn at the initial stage only, so after these steps are followed, the ECC will start working properly.or
just a simple pwr cycle ( turning the phone off) can give you a fresh registratoin, this can improve the quality of the call. hope this helps pls do let me know"

Two phones in use with Motorola VT1005 result in very low volume

disconnect the POTS line incoming to your home on the outside of your house. This will make the phone wiring within the house a standalone network. Plug the Line 1 jack of your TA into any available phone jack and the remaining jacks in the house will be energized. This will create the same environment as you had with POTS.

Go to this website and download the manual. http://service.us.panasonic.com/operman/findmanual.aspx?model=KXTG6021
This model has voice enhance feature. There is a volume control on the answering machine and the handset. This manual will show you how to adjust both.

Losing volume

Here is the link for the user manual if you need it; http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/KXTG5621S.PDF page 12 gives battery replacement instructions. I would expect a new battery would solve the problem, even if the charge indicator says that the battery is fine. Something to also check is that some dust or whatever hasen't got lodged in the headphone socket on the handset - that could have this effect. check the voice enhancer settings - page 31 - try changing them and see what you get. Hope this helps - my bet is on the battery :)
