Zanussi jetstream 1400 washer dryer - how to take apart
Had the e20 problem a few times but this time the tube blocked was right inside and we cant get to the jubilee clip - have managed to take the top off machine but cannot work out how to remove the casing - got 3 kids and need to get this back running now!!!!!!!!!!!!!help please
Re: zanussi jetstream 1400 washer dryer - how to take...
The whole casing splits in two, as you already have the top off, you will see four gold coloured 8mm bolts on both sides off the machine undo the two closest to the rear of the machine on both sides, there are also three more located on the back of the machine one at the top and two at the bottom, once they are removed, there are two more left, one on each side of the machine these are located behind plastic bungs,at the boottom next to where it splits in two, now all thats left is to unclip the hose inlet bracket at the top and pull the whole back end off. if you found this helpfull please leave feed back, thanks.

Can you turn the drum by hand.E20 relates to a fault with either the pump or the filter or drain may be blocked, check the filter is clean and the pump can be turned by hand, its up at the end of filter housing and can be seen depending on the model. If the drum cant be turned freely then you have something stuck inside the drum.
The filter is blocked. Disconnect your power source. Open the panel. Have a towel or wet vac handy and a screw driver. There is a silver ring circling the drainage hose with a small screw on top. Loosen the screw. Pinch the hose on top and let water drain to wet vac or towel. Completely remove the hose from it's housing. Reach your thumb and index finger inside that same hose and pull out the filter. It looks like a small plastic cup with holes in it. Clean it out, wash it. Use your fingers or dry vac hose and feel the bottom of the inside of the hose where the plastic cup came from. Remove any debri that excaped past the filter with fingers or suction with hose til you can feel with your fingers that the bottom of the inside of the hose is clear. return the cup back inside the hose. Put the silver ring over the lip of the hose then place the hose back on it's metal housing which is attached to the machine. Make sure the hole is secured around the entire metal (if not you will get leakage). Tighten the small screw, pull down at the hose making sure it will not come off with the pressure of the water. Clean up any leakage. Close panel and I promise you, your problem will be solved. Good luck, from Cheryl AlAlexander
E20 normally means there is a blockage in the drain tube/filter. I have the same problem, but the drain tube is clear. I have searched the web and found the solution being down to the "plastic bottle-like condensor having debris/fluff in it".
The error message E20, simply means the filter plastic cage which is located behind the trap door bottom right side of the machine is full and needs to be cleaned out.
All the fibres and lint gets trapped in here and prevents the waste water from escaping, hence Error code E20.
