Pul the spark plug and inspect for fouling, replace or clean the plug and try again. The next step would be to make sure the carburator is not loose and is tight to the engine, then disconnect the fuel supply to the carb and verify it is getting fuel. This as a place to start your diagnosis, and proceed from there. It may require you to disassemble the carb and clean a blockage, but this is the extreme.

Ts410 starts and runs but won't rev up properly. If you hit the primer it will then rev up nicely for a few seconds. So I suspect a fuel starvation problem.

If this occurred after the Saw sat a few months then Ethanol gas could have clogged the tiny screen inside the carburetor. The gas could have also dried out the Little 'paper' Fuel meter in the carb.

Sounds like fuel starvation, always start with simple things first, replace the fuel filter in the fuel tank, check the fuel hose up to the carb for signs of leaking.

Runs but quits

Probably gummed up carb. If you don't want to try to rebuild the carb, then try adding a really good carb / fuel injector cleaner to the gas/oil mixture. don't forget to use a very small amount, then run the motor as fast as it will go for short periods of time to try and dissolve the gumming in the jets.

My husqvarna 350 chainsaw starts but wont stay running for more than a few seconds

Eric:

Find the gas/air adjustment screws on the carb (next to the the throttle cam where the throttle cable attaches. Turn the screws in all the way... GENTLY... Those are needle valves, and too much torque on them will damage the needle valve seats. turn both of them out one and a quarter to one and a half turns. Start the saw, and adjust one or the other screw in or out until the saw runs properly. If there is a plastic stop installed on the screws, remove it first, and replace it after the saw is running properly. You have to be patient while tuning the carb as it may take a while. If you adjust too much and the saw refuses to start at all, start over with the 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 turns out on the screws.

Husqvarna 137 chain saw - put a new plug in and won't start run if you put a small amount of gas in plugfor just a second or so made sure gas line is not stopped up from tank to carb. less than 2 yrs...

Sounds like the diaphragms in the carburetor have gotten dry and won't flex anymore. Install a new kit in the carb and recalibrate the screws. You should be good to go.

I have a husqvarna 55 chainsaw was running fine I was cutting a log then the saw just died checked and cleaned magneto. Now I get the saw to start and run but only for a few seconds then it dies.

it sounds like a small piece of dirt is in the main jet of the carb assuming you have good spark. you may need to remove the carb and clean it. if it has a float then the needle may be sticking especially if it had older gas in it over the winter as it gets thick and plugs up the fuel passages. good luck.

I have a husqvarna 272xp chainsaw, it starts but dies quickly was playing with carb setting and got it to keep running, but when idling it surges to high rpm for a few seconds and then goes back to normal,...

I'd guess at a dirty carb. If its been sitting the gas may have gone bad and clogged up the carb. Try spraying some carb cleaner in the mouth of the carb. It's possible that the idle is turned up too high to compensate for clogged ports in the carb. This is a possibility but not a guaranteed solution. Good luck.

Chainsaw runs out of gas.

From your description, it sounds like your carb is running too lean. Make sure the spark arrestor screen is free of carbon build-up and the air filter is in place. Warm the saw up. With the saw at idle, adjust the Low adjustment screw to slightly enrich the mixture. If you turn it to run the fastest possible when idling, it is too lean. When the Low setting is right, you will be able to increase the RPM without it dying. If the High setting is way too lean, it may also die when you open up the throttle. If you run the saw too lean, it willl overheat and sieze.
