Question about Philips CDR570 CD Recorder
My cd r 570, after years of honorable work, accept and register only audio cd r philips 74. (Which they are not more ') do not accept other audio cd r. Even the audio cd r philips 80.Why?
Newer discs are made with different dyes. We no longer get philips discs in the UK but Maxell 80 min discs work great in my 570. Have you ever been able to use 80 min discs? Usually if a machine only accepts certain types of disc it means the laser's power output is reduced i.e it's worn out so it may be time to find a new machine unless you can get a supply of discs it does use OK.
'Mr Audio' discs from Mr Data should be avoided at all costs.I can only use them in my Sony machines.
