Whirlpool range RDE 6100N2

I had this bright idea to really clean the old range that came in the house that I bought years ago. It looks like new now, but I can't get the oven door back on. I have tried for two days now. Can you help??

We needed to change the element in the oven and lost the wire inside
the unit. Then we had to take the entire stove apart and found
out how to get to the wire. Once completed, we tried to put the
oven door back on to no avail. It came right off initially.

Instead of trying to place the bracket to the door from a lowered position at floor level, I positioned the brackets and from a standing position, placed the bracket into the slot, pushed in a downward position and the door went into place.

Range throws an F5E1 code, cleaned the oven 2 weeks ago. Worked fine. Plugged it back in today to clean oven but it threw the code, door is not locked.this is in a rent house.

Using the 'self clean' function nearly always results in faults. We see it here all the time, burnt out elements, doors that won't open, fires and error codes. Google the manual for it. They are all online

The error is listed in this link. Also look at the video tab

I have a wall oven that is 15 years old and it's making a loud noise, after it's turned off. This has never happened before.

Don't burn your house down! Get a new wall oven. FYI Sears no longer sells Whirlpool.

Replaced control panel and keypad 1 1/2 years ago seen the error codes now I was self cleaning oven everything went off no error codes or anything house breaker ok PLEASE help.

Self clean is hard on controls. I do not recommend self clean. Kills expensive parts. If the temp goes above 300 in the control panel, a control panel fuse will melt, killing the power to the control.

My oven is two years old and the bottom oven coil will not heat up. The top one works just fine but not the bottom.

you may have a burned out bake element even if the range is only a couple of years old. if you can see the element look for a burned area. if you can't see it you will need to unplug the range and see how to get it out yourself or call a repair service. hope this helps.

No manual to Kenmore electric oven 8+ years old

if the glass bulb cover has a 'wire' across it that's the spring clip that holds it in place.pull clip down or aside to remove cover, unscrew bulb as you would any other.if it doesn't have aforementioned clip.try to rotate cover counterclockwise to disengage 'ears' from 'slots',similar to the the way a blender fits the base.look under cook-top,above oven door for the lock lever that must be pulled out [engaged] for self clean to work.

Oven too hot!!

sounds like a bad oven temp sensor, small 3-6 inch, metal probe in upper left corner of inner cavity, 2 screws and the sensor should pull right out, replace you should be fine
