Question about JVC AV-56WP74 56" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I have a jvc 56in.rear projection tv.
At first the green was rolled at the top left and bottom right.some one told me the green gun was bad so I bought one and put it in.and of course that dident fix it.after a little research I found out it was the convergence chips.
Im no good at soldering so I bought the bord.I put it in and that fixed everything except the green is at a sideways tilt.tryed the convergence manually and automatic.its to far out.
Right now im at $560.00 im not wanting to put anymore money into it.Unless its a cheap fix.please help.
Sorry for the spelling I suck at that and suck at tv repair.
You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
If all three colors move in the automatic convergence mode but they do not move far enough the part you need is the silver can on the convergence board. The part number is on it. It begins with QAL. You can order it from JVC

Put the convergence controls at roughly center and manually adjust the green tube for the best pix. Then, go back and set up your electronic convergence and see what that does for you....accordianman
