Question about Hitachi 43UWX10B 43" Rear Projection Television

HITACHI ultrascan hd tv....

Color is suddenly oversaturated, and the picture is "dark" , been trying to adjust with the remote... help!

I recently moved and after it had been off the moving truck and working for a few days, I noticed the picture has shadowing and a double image.

Almost as if the RGB coloring is out of alignment. Does this relate to the convergence or focus problems I have read about.

Has a double image and they are outlined with yellow and blue color. I tried the Magic Color button and it would correct the picture for a couple of minutes and then it would go bad again.

This set like most of these has 3 hidden Menu's=

1. Adjustments (stay out of that one)
2. Convergence (like the one in customer menu but better)
3. Option Menu**************

It will not correct the convergence circuit problem as those adjustments are stored in the Digital Convergence unit on the main board.

What it will do is a hard reset of the TV---everything back to factory original--can cure odd issues: no sound, video issues, you name it.

If you want I have found a site that has this for each of these sets--IT CAN ONLY BE DONE WITH THE ORIGINAL MITSUBISHI REMOTE.

I can get you a link to the site and manual for this set--since I never trust certain sites I do not download that manual but you can look at every page and copy paste to your computer the information needed for the OPTION menu and how to do it----stay out of adjustment menu as one wrong move and poof!

use the make a comment button to let me know what you want to do and I will help.

Hello,
This could be that your picture is just oversaturated. Try turning the color adjustment down slightly. If you make slight adjustments to the 'Contrast' and 'Color' you should be able to dial that out.

To converge or not converge, that is the question

With the remote enter 06-25-97-Menu under there you can clear up the problem. How ever moving these can be tricky as they move with one another and trying to get them straight can be frustrating. There is a template you can order however I don't see one for a 62 inch.

Screen Templates:

55" ST4162
60" ST4130-60
