Question about Dell Inspiron B130 Notebook

2 Answers

Sound Dell Inspiron B130 1 year old (approx) There is no sound and I have rolled back drivers, installed all updates, uninstalled the driver and re-installed. There is still no sound. My question is this..... If my sound card is bad and I need a new one, I heard the B130 came out with a "kareoke sound card" Is it possible to buy and install a new sound card or is the "sound card" installed on the hard drive? I have heard it is, and that it isnt. The only answer I have gotten from anyone asked (friends) have told me All I can do is get an external sound card..... Is that true?? Thanks

If your computer is running kind of sluggish, you can fix it with an easy clean up of your registry. Here's a link to a free scan that works well:
www.your-free-info.com/RegCure
I've used this one and it sped up my computer by quite a bit. Hopefully this helps.

E1505 laptop, no sound after windows update for sigmatel audio driver so far nothing works. Dell and windows and sigmatel seem to be blowing me off. all of the things I have tried have been a big wast of...

You may be able to roll back the driver to the previous one. Depending on which operating system you are using, right click on my computer and click properties. If xp then click on hardware tab and click on device mamager. If vista or 7 click on device manager on the left side of window that pops up. Then click on the "+" next to sound then double click on your device. Click on the driver tab and click on "roll back driver". Follow instructions from there. If you cannot click on that button it means you cannot roll back and may need to do a search or the driver and install it manually.
Hope this helps!

No sound

Here are the links for the sound driver Dell Inspiron 6400. You have to select the correct audio driver and operating system to run on your computer. If you are not sure download all the audio or sound driver and then install after download. No sound means you did not installed the sound driver or if installed but not working properly. Installing these software will update your sound then it will work after update or installing the sound driver. Have a nice day.

My sound went of and it said no audio output device is installed

It seem like the drivers those you have are may not be updated or may be corrupted.
Download the latest drivers from the below website.
Then uninstall your old drivers from your laptop and reboot.
Then install the new audio drivers according to the Operating System that you are using (XP/ VISTA).
Again reboot your computer and it should work perfectly fine.

This is the website from where you can download the latest version of driver.
Hope this helps.

Tap to click does not work dell inspiron 1501

Tap to click is the feature of the touchpad driver. Uninstall any existing touchpad drivers and then restart the computer.
Go to www.support.dell.com enter the computer service tag and get the drivers for the touchpad from there. Also update the BIOS of your computer to the most recent version. In most cases a part replacement is not needed and the issue should be fixed.

I would run updates on your system. Go to http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us

Run all updates available to you and restart. Go back and see if there are more updates needed. If you havent updated in a while there are probablly updates for the updates. Keep going back untill it reports back that no more updates are available. If the problem still persists then depending on what kind of Dell you have go to dell.com and down load the driver again. It is free there. Make sure you do the updates firts. Dont just rely on automatic updates...you need to physically go in and update from time to time. Has it ever worked? If this is a fairly new issue you may be able to roll back your drive from the device manager....musch easier to go to the site tho. Hope this helps.

Dell inspiron 6400/E1505 audio drivers not working.

I can see how vista would screw up drivers through automatic updates. You could not be the 1st.
There are driver cleaners out there.

http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745

Make sure you know what chipset you have, probably AC97 and use the driver cleaner to remove it.
Reboot and install the driver from dells web site.

G'luck
