I HAVE A GARDENER TRACTOR.THE MOTOR RUNS BUT DOESN´T CHARGE THE BATTERY...I CHECKED THE REGULATOR BUT THERE´S NO NUMBER OR LETTERS ON IT, SO I CAN´T ORDER IT AT THE STORE...IT´S A VERTICAL KHOLER 25 HP , THE REGULATOR RECTIFIER HAS 18 V AC IN AND 13.5 VDC OUT TO THE BATTERY, BUT IF I TURN ON THE LIGHTS THE CHARGE DECREASES AT 9 VDC. OR LESS. I APRECIATE YOUR HELP....THANKS..... LUIGI
Contact your local vendor.
The highest probability is replace the voltage regulator.
Have you added or modified anything electrical?
these regulators don't handle very much in the way of regulation and are really only designed to recharge the battery after starting.
Hope this tip helps.
