Problem for PC Laptops

Fujitsu-Siemens Monitor problem
When using my fujitsu-siemens amilo notebook, the monitor suddenly shuts down. It's not all black as you can sense a little backligt. However, only way to wake up the monitor/computer again is by shutting it all down using the power on/off button and turning it on again (which of course results in a message that windows was not shut down properly). The problem both occurs when using a programme and when no programmes are running (except for Vista). Any ideas what the problem may be?.

- Shut down also occurs when there is key or mouse activity, thus not only when the computer is idle. And it is not possible to wake the computer again (unless you shut it completely down) as it should be if it had somethin to do with power savingSame Problem

- mine is bad enough as well! the fujitsu siemens at the beginning lights up but later when it shows window xp the light goes away and you can't see anything unless you put it in the sunlight. a little help here please!- mermaidsrealJul 07, 2008

usually shut down when idle(idle means no key or mouse activity).........left click mouse in any space on desktop,select properties,in properties window select screensaver and lower in the screen youll see power settings..select it...in power schemes change time best suited or select never.
