Hi,

If thebottom screen flashes then thetop screen is damaged and will need replacing.

You can get a new screen at a reasonable price on ebay and i have written up guides telling you how to dismantle the DS lite and how to replace the screens.

Dismantle guide (inc. tools you will need).
Top screen replacement.

If you need any further help contact me via my profile.

It sounds like the battery is dead. You can order a replacement battery direct from Nintendo at http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=108205

My ds lite won't turn on both fuses are good the top screen was broke so I tried another screen I had that dident work. So I put the old one back on and now the ds wont turn on .The green lite flashes then...

Hi,

It's all to do with the top screen... What happens is that when you turn the DS lite on it performs a quick check on the screens to make sure they are connected properly, if one or both are not connected properly then the unit will shut down.
The flashing of the screen shows you that that particular screen is fine whereas the one that does nothing is not connected properly, either through a loose connection or faulty screen/ ribbon.

Your best bet is to buy a new top screen (I usually get mine from ebay for around £10-£12) and fit it. That should sort out your issue.

Any further problems or questions feel free to message me via my profile page.

My sond ds lite wont turn on and the charge light

Yes, this problem is normally caused by one or both of the fuses have blown on the logic board.

We think a neighbor girl spilled liquid on/in my son's DS Lite. It now won't power on and the orange light will stay on for only a minute or two when we attempt to charge the unit. The battery is good......

If the DS was turned on when the liquid was spilled on it I don't think there is much hope to be honest:(

If it's under warrenty send it back otherwise you might try taking it apart and use a hair dryer to dry it off... that's a long shot though!

Dim bottom screen on DS Lite

There should be either a button or a setting to adjust the lighting, try doing that.

Won't power up-flash of light on bottom screen then nothing

if yr DS is less than one year old, call nintendo and ask for an advanced replacement.... they are good about it and will explain the whole process to you....the number is 1.800.255.3700.... i think it is option three for DS problems, then zero, and the will set it up.... ive had it done like three times....
