Question about Panasonic DMR-EZ47V DVD Recorder/VCR
Have a DVD disc stuck and the open/eject button does nothing when pressed. The screen claims no disc but it's in there. I've pushed the reset button several times but all it'll do is make some winding noises then it quiets down. Shall I attempt to pull out the tray lightly or take it in?
Page 80 in the instruction manual tells you how to do this.
In case you don't have a manual, do the following:
While the unit is off, press and hold the stop key (shown on the unit as a button with a small black square on it) for about 5 seconds. It may take longer to eject depending on the disc.
Hope this helps

It is actually a combination of the STOP and CH-UP button for five seconds while the unit is in standby. If this doesn't work, simply try to press the OPEN/CLOSE button while the unit is off - it should power up and try to eject the disc. If not, something else is wrong.
