Try running a full system scan with your anti-virus. If it does not find anything try any of those on lne virus scanners.

Additionally, download, install and update Ad-Aware Free. Run a full scan and delete/quarantine items found.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

REMOVE UNWANTED WORDS FROM PREDICTIVE TEXT Using this trick you can remove...

Using this trick you can remove sometimes irritating and unwanted words from predictive text. Open xplore or a similar file manager, go to c:\predic\ directory and delete the .dat file or edit it by transfering it to pc, opening it with notepad and editing.

In the new firmware on N95 v20 & v21 & also N95 8GB Nokia has removed the theme icons in the menu, but by using this trick, you will be able to see the theme icons.

To do this go to Menu-> Tools Folder-> Utilities Folder-> Device Manager.
Here you will see your firmware version and device updated. press D-Pad right button and you'll see no server profiles defined. Press options and select New server profile, and name the server 'name', server id, host adress and user name 'Themes'. Choose your password and leave everything as it is. exit (if it says profile not saved because you didin't do some configurations, try changing connection type to bluetooth) and press Options and start configurations without connection. then go to Menu-> Applcations and you'll see the themes icon!

If when you say "themes" you mean changing the background from black to whatever picture you'd like:
  • make sure you have the most up to date software update on your iPhone by syncing it with iTunes and clicking "check for update"
  • If it's up to date, go to your photos on your iPhone and view the photo you want as your background.
  • tap the icon at the bottom left corner, select "use as wallpaper"
  • from this screen you can position the photo as you'd like, and hit set. It will then ask you if you want it to be the wallpaper for just the home screen, just the lock screen, or both.
  • make your selection and wala, it's done.
If you mean how do you completely change the interface... this is done by "jailbreaking" which would void your warranty. I discourage you from this but there are plenty of free guides on the internet for that.

Black color screen

Change your screen resolution to the highest setting first, in control panel, appearance/ themes. Next Push smart button on bottom right of monitor. Cinema mode should be highlighted hit autoset on monitor. Next hit the FUN button and highlight the 4:3 screen setting. This will expand your image to fit the screen without giving it that stretched and distorted appearance.

Monitor flickers when you click a hyperlink

It sound like the video refresh rate is to low. To change the video refresh rate consult your monitors user guide and if you are running WIN XP operating system you can try the following:

How to Change the Screen Refresh Rate of Your Monitor
loadTOCNode(2, 'summary');
  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.

Alternatively, right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.
  2. Click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced.
  3. Click the Monitor tab, and then click the screen refresh rate that you want to use.
Let me know if this helps and thank you, Binary Bob

My computer screen is white

Here are the things I would try:

First, if you have another monitor I would plug it in to see if the problem is actually your monitor or something else. If you don't have access to another monitor then I would try to reset the monitor to factory defaults. I know this will not be easy because you cannot see the screen, but I looked at the manual and I believe this is how to do it:

Press the "1" button on the monitor, then press the downward arrow 6 times, then press the "2" button. I think this will reset the monitor. Take a look at the manual:

And you'll see what I mean.

If that does not work, I would double check your cable connections (you have probably already done that). I woud then use Device Manager to make sure there's no known problem with your video adapter. To use Device Manager do this:

Right click on My Computer and select properties. Now select the Hardware tab and then click on Device Manager. Find the entry for your display adapter and verify there are not exclamation points or question marks next to it. If there are, let me know and we'll go a different route.

If the above does not pan out I would reboot the computer in Safe Mode to see what happens. Safe Mode loads Windows with a very minimal set of drivers including the most basic VGA driver available as opposed to the more capable one your most likey using now. If the monitor works in Safe Mode then it's most likely a software problem, but it does not totally rule out the possibility that the VGA hardware is going bad.

If it worked in Safe Mode then I would try a System Restore to a date before the problem began. To use System Restore do this:

Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore.

It's pretty self-explanitory and it will restore many critical files that may have become corrupted. It will take a while to complete, but it is reversible so you have little to lose.

If all of this fails to help then I would do whatever you need to find another monitor to plug in before you go any further. It could be a bad monitor after all.

Now the editorial section. I don't get paid for this. I know it's a strange hobby, but I like to help if I can. If you found any of this helpful I hope you'll give this post a positive rating. Nearly half of the solutions I've posted have never been rated. Thanks and good luck.

Inspiron 4000 black screen

Try an external monitor if you can see that ecerything you created is as then your LCD is on the way out. I would then say its a coincidence it happened at the time you changed the theme.
