I have a LG GRF218NI refrigerator. Its freezer has been going on and off (express freezer) yesterday half day and all night only stopping this morning. Does need a service?

Yes and the problem is going to be in the main control board located on the back of the refrigerator. You will need to get this checked as soon as possible because some LG models have had problems and if the board is beginning to go it could cause the interior lights to stay on in the fresh food section which can be dangerous. Sorry for the news. Hope this helps but you do need it checked.

My lg fridge wont stop beeping

Check the freezer:
If your fridge does not have an auto-defrost function then excessive ice-build up in the freezer can cause the beeping alarm. If you see a lot of ice build-up in the icebox or freezer, switch off the fridge and let the ice thaw. Once the fridge is thawed, the beeping should stop.

4) Press the "Express Freezing" key and the "Colder" key of the Freezer Temp function at the same time while in Test Mode 3 and maintain for 3 seconds. The refrigerator will reset to the state prior to entering test mode.

Freezer/Refrigerator tempurature swinging wildly

The compressor is overheating and not starting. Could be just the start relay. If this happens again try unplugging it for about an hour then it should work for a while. Heat between doors is normal this is an electric heater designed to keep the doors from sweating. You just noticed it because the refrigerator wasn't cold.
