The GA-PCV2 uses VIA Chipset CL266 for video to update video drivers:

    Copy and paste the link(s):
    http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?Pag...

For other drivers, it would help to know which manufacturer built your board. ( Gigabyte for example )
If you need further assistance please let me know what drivers you require ( such as Bios updates etc )

Hello, after some search on the net i found this site:
http://www.idot.com.tw/en/downloads/
If you search for the text : ga-pcv2 on the site you get a section with the bios update link.
I have copyed here they said its for ga-pcv2 csi , ga-pcv2 dsi. so here it is:
http://www.idot.com.tw/en/downloads/MB-PC1000G1500G(GA-PCV2)/F5E_BIOS.zip
I hope it will help you.
P.S. : You can find all the drivers there too...
Best wishes, Borney.

I apologize for not seeing you need a bios upgrade. Can you locate the manufacturers name on the board for me?
With that I can find the appropriate bios update ( bios updates are specific to manufacturer not chipsets ).

I need the drivers to install this motherboard: GA-PCV2-CSI

Do you have the motherboard support disc? If you have it then you can use it to install drivers for your computer. Else you can download it from the official website of the motherboard. Download drivers according to the operating system you will going to use.

Hope this could help you..:-) Thanks..

During the POST

maybe your board chip and bios are not supporting any of those plug into your computer. the reason why hangs on POST because it override the maximum limit presented on bios and chipset. Try Updating your bios and chipset. Warning! it must be a exact detail number and serial of updates you must use.

It is very risky but I try it with my computer. Now I can use large capacity of RAM, Hardisk and even PCI 2.0 plug-ins in computer with only 133MHz.

I believe that it should work with that chip. If you have the manual for the MoBo try resetting the cmos on the board. That should put every thing back to its defaults. It is posable that it is trying to run it at the wrong voltage.

INSALLING A MOTHERBOARD

From what little information I could find, your motherboard does NOT provide a CD_IN connector. ONLY the GA-PCV2-DVI version provides the connector you're looking for, while the GA-PCV2-DSI version of the m'board (the one you own) does NOT have the CD_IN connector... wish I had better news than that for you...

Just FYI, you can download a LARGE file (~55MB), which contains ALL of the drivers AND the m'board manual in .ZIP format directly from here:

http://www.idot.com.tw/en/downloads/MB-PC1000G1500G(GA-PCV2)/V1.0CD.zip

It took about 17 minutes to download that entire file to my HDD, over a broadband connection, so I can only guess that the server is restricting download speeds...

Once you download that file, you can unzip it and locate the manual (in .PDF format), which is the "PCV2_Series.pdf" file...

In the manual, you will find the information I've provided here on page 12, so you can verify what I've told you...

Good luck; I suspect you'll have to install a compatible soundcard with a CD-IN connector if you really want one...

Issues in Upgrading BIOS

Actually, your motherboard is a GA-7ZMMH, which we were lucky enough to see in the BIOS ID string. You can find the latest BIOS's from Gigabyte's website at: http://www.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=1315 It looks like you're on the F5 rev. I would suggest the F10 rev, and only go to the F11b rev if you need the support for the Athlon XP 2600+. If you are not upgrading your BIOS for CPU support, or you do not need to support a CPU faster than the Athlon XP 2200+, then go with the F10 rev.
