Thanks for the sugggestion. ut the problem has not been solved. I did EXACTLY as advised in the solution. But sorry problem still remain unsolved, either i get an error message code 10 or code 39.
I have the same error code 10 have tried several drivers and also the solution offered but still get error code 10. Have given up with this card after 3 hours of getting anoyed with it. Any help would be good to solve this problem.
The answer is download this driver from the tech support section in D-Link's websire and either use the AX or BX driver and it will install fine and dandy. Just remember to uninstall the old drivers first and uninstall the network card and start all over from the start. Install the drivers first then shutdown. install DWL 520+ card then restart and it works.
Code 10 means DRIVERS COULD NOT BE INSTALLED. Try installing the drivers manually.
Do this if pc is XP.
1.Keep the wireless adapter connected to the pc
2:Go to control panel, add/remove programs. Remove the wireless adapter software
3:Restart the computer, when the found new hardware wizard shows up click on it, click NO NOT THIS TIME, then select install from a list of specific location. On the next page Click on DON'T SEARCH, I WILL CHOOSE THE DRIVERS TO INSTALL.
4.HIGHLIGHT NETWORK ADAPTERS on the hardware type, the CLICK HAVE DISC
5.Click BROWSE to set the location of your drivers
6.Open the driver folder, then the pc should copy the files.
Good Luck
